Coach Matt Trzpis

For Coach Trzpis, it’s about much more than just the game. It’s about using the game as an avenue to help teach our young players the honorable way to approach life. Matt wants the best for every player that he comes into contact with and does his best each and every day to ensure that all of our players will remember their LV Knights experiences forever. Coach Trzpis considers himself extremely lucky to be able to work with all of our Knights and is proud of what our organization represents. Matt has been married to his beautiful and supportive wife Amy for 20 years and they have 1 son, Bruce, an original Knight and terrific kid. Matt is a 20 + year law enforcement veteran and understands the importance of structure, hard work, and organization. Coach Trzpis played baseball at Chaparral High School during the peak of their success in the early 90’s. Coach Trzpis manned the 3rd base position for 3 varsity seasons. Matt was named the runner-up as the state of NV Gatorade Baseball Player of the year in 1994 after a standout senior season and was awarded Chaparral’s best defensive player in 92, 93, and 94. He was named team captain and team MVP in 94. Coach Trzpis loves practices, along with the high level of hard work and dedication it takes to achieve on and off the field success. One of his favorite phrases is “compete at all times” and he tries to instill that belief in our players. Coach Trzpis values the daily grind it takes to earn your success. Matt believes strongly that teaching and instilling that “compete” attitude in our players will carry over to all aspects of their lives; hoping that it will serve them well in their pursuit of greatness on and off the field.
